Tallinn — by appointment only
Fine line and blackwork by Mara Vellán. One artist, one chair, one session at a time — the duration is set by the work, never by a dropdown.

The artist
Twelve years with a machine in hand, the last six spent narrowing the work down to what matters: a single confident line, black that stays black, and compositions that follow the body instead of fighting it.
I work alone. Every request is read by me, every design is drawn for one person, and no two sessions are timed the same. That is why I decide how long a piece needs — after I have seen what you want.
Selected work
A quiet archive of healed and fresh work. Tap any piece to see it larger.
How it works
01
A date and time, or just the thought. Both roads lead to the same book.
02
Every request is read by me. Your slot is held for 24 hours in the meantime.
03
Placement, scale, and how long the work truly needs. I set the duration.
04
The date is locked, the deposit is placed, and the studio is yours for the session.
Questions
Aftercare
Follow this and the line I drew is the line you keep.
Leave the dressing on for the hours I tell you. Sleep on clean sheets, in loose clothing, away from the fresh work.
Wash gently twice a day with unscented soap and cool water. Pat dry with paper towel. A whisper of balm, nothing more.
Expect flaking and a dull film. Do not pick, do not scratch. No pools, saunas, sea or direct sun.
Sunscreen for life. Black lines stay sharp when they stay out of the light. Send me a photograph — I like to see them settled.
